General Information:

Reporting to the Project Management Director, the Marketing Intern will be responsible for gaining a thorough understanding of the project management process and identifying areas for process improvement.  The Hitachi Energy Varennes site’s customers operate power generation and transmission plants, such as hydro, nuclear, and other, and purchase transformers that are typically custom designed.

Start date: September 2024

Internship duration: 3 - 8 months

Paid internship

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for continuous improvement projects of highly technical products with corporate clients.

• The intern’s main project will be identified based on the intern’s strengths and interests among the potential projects identified.

• The project will be conducted in collaboration with the plant’s multidisciplinary groups and will aim to continuously improve the internal process.

Qualifications:

• Dynamic and independent personality, and ability to interact with the various internal departments (sales and bids, engineering, planning, production, quality, finance and purchasing).

• Intellectual curiosity required to understand our interdisciplinary process.

• Effective written and verbal communication: bilingualism (French and English required).

• Preference given to a 3-4th year BACC student, but possible opening to an exceptional personality with less experience.
