ERM is looking for a motivated Project Accountant to join our team in Poland to support the finance function with general project accounting duties.

The key responsibilities of this role will be to provide general financial support to Country Finance Manager and Project Managers with managing their budgets successfully and help our business to improve KPIs.

Position: Junior Project Accountant (full-time - 40h/week)

Location: Warsaw, Poland (hybrid)

About the role:

  • Work closely with Project Managers to support with project set-up, project accounting, invoicing, and revenue recognition activities
  • Monitor project financial performance, analyze variances, and identify areas of concern or improvement
  • Analysis of project costs against budget
  • Collaborate with other business units finance teams to optimize project performance and drive continuous improvement initiatives
  • Conduct regular project financial reviews, ensuring compliance with internal policies, procedures, and client contracts
  • Assist in the development and maintenance of project control tools, templates, and processes.
  • Support Country Finance Manager with any other financial queries
  • Ad-hoc queries

About You:

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field;
  • Experience as a project accountant, or in a similar role will be an advantage;
  • Financial analysis and reporting skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data accurately;
  • Intermediate/Advance Excel skills;
  • Fluent in English and Polish, with the ability to communicate effectively in both languages; German language skills is a plus but not mandatory;
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
