Will you become our new all-round sustainability consultant?

Do you want to work on creating a sustainable world and support companies toward this transition? As a sustainability junior consultant who is part of our Corporate Sustainability & Climate Change team, you will assist our clients in the process of overseeing their sustainability transition. From listed companies to family businesses, and from financial institutions to the energy sector – everyone is expected to take steps toward the ‘Low Carbon Economy’ within their own context. Do you like to contribute to this goal, and do you not shy away from complex business structures, Excel models, and laws and regulations? Then you are who we are looking for!

What will you be doing?

As a junior consultant, you will reinforce our team in the broadest sense. This means that in the first period, you will see all facets of our work, from developing a sustainability strategy for a client to measuring the carbon footprint and communicating it transparently.

Furthermore:

  • You participate in project teams where you take on a proactive role and collaborate with colleagues to help the client move forward with their sustainability challenges.

  • You prepare presentations and other deliverables and are not hesitant to dive deep into the material.

  • You stay up to date with developments in the sustainability field and can convey this message in an understandable way to the client.

  • You enjoy taking on internal projects as well, such as organizing our annual strategy weekend or sharing your knowledge in a blog article.

We are looking for someone who...

  • Is fluent in Dutch & English (both written and oral).

  • Shares our passion to contribute to a better world and has an affinity with sustainability in business.

  • Is knowledgeable and passionate about topics such as corporate social responsibility, EU Green Deal, CSRD, climate risk, GHG accounting, etc.

  • Has analytical skills, can reason clearly, and has a critical mindset.

  • Communicates clearly and can work both independently and as part of a team.

  • Has a proactive, open, and entrepreneurial mindset and likes to take the initiative.

  • Is well-versed with MS Word, PowerPoint, and Excel; deep knowledge of Power BI dashboarding is considered a plus.

  • Has knowledge of and experience with CO2 footprint analysis and Life Cycle Assessments (LCAs). This knowledge counts as a plus.

Don’t become discouraged by all the competencies we are looking for. Of course, you don't have to excel in every one of the above. After all, we are looking for people, not machines! Apart from work experience and background, we find your enthusiasm, willingness to learn, and connection with our company most important.

What do we offer?

You will be working in a young and ambitious team, driven to build towards a more sustainable future. We offer an inspiring and nice working environment with room for personal development as well as your own initiative. We are part of an international organization and offer many career opportunities.

As an ERMer, you help build a cleaner, safer, and more sustainable planet for generations to come. ERM is a worldwide yet tight-knit community ready to nurture and unleash your expertise. Our people are the heart of our operation. That’s why we offer great working conditions for our employees, such as a competitive salary, flexible working, many personal development possibilities, and a safe and healthy work environment.
