Asbestos Prep Technician

• Permanent, full-time position working Monday - Friday 9am - 5pm.
• Based in Dandenong South, VIC.

Reporting to the Laboratory Manager, this role will be responsible for the following but not limited to:

• Receiving and sorting samples, assigning tests in accordance with the LIMS database and preparing log sheets.
• Giving priority to samples that have shorter turnaround times (i.e., urgent samples).
• Sample preparation for soils and air filters adhering to ISO 17025 accredited methods.
• Performing any other duties assigned by the Asbestos Identifier/Counter and Supervisor.
• Keeping the laboratory clean and in order; sorting and organizing analyzed samples for storage.
• Following instructions from the supervisor and management.
• Performing duties in a professional and safe manner at all times.
• When time permits, train in asbestos analysis methods.
