The job


We are looking for a driven and professional Automation Engineer who can help our team of ~30 software engineers in developing high-quality software. We believe in an agile way of developing with short feedback cycles. We focus on automating as many parts of our software processes including automated releases and integration tests. You will be the driving force in optimizing these processes and making sure everyone on the team is aligned towards excellent quality. As part of the job, you also oversee our monitoring and alerting systems. You act as the expert when it comes to writing both clear and qualitative acceptance criteria and integration tests and actively share your knowledge with the team. You will also be the first point of contact supporting our operations team diagnosing operational issues.

You will be a working in our (web-)Portal team, which is practicing agile with well-defined and clear processes. As our new Automation Engineer, you are passionate about Automation Engineering and love to work together with the team to create high-quality cloud solutions. You will work on a complex and diverse web portal application providing our B2B customers the primary interface to our systems. The platform brings together a large amount of data from various sources and sees a substantial number of concurrent users every day. We have a clear focus on UX, performance, and scalability of the product. You will make use of your organized and structured workstyle to excel and are always eager to learn and work with various techniques. Finally, you are someone with strong social and communicative skills, which makes it easy for you to help product managers in writing clear acceptance criteria and with the help of developers write integration tests for new features.


You have

  • At least 4 years of experience in an Automation Engineering position, preferably in a B2B SAAS environment.
  • At least 3 years of demonstrable experience with test automation and test automation tools, ideally with Playwright, but alternatively with SpecFlow (cf. Cucumber, Gherkin) or Selenium.
  • In-depth knowledge of and experience working with HTTP (RESTful) APIs.
  • Experience with distributed, message-driven software architectures.
  • The ability to understand and analyze source code, mainly in .NET/C#.
  • Experience with cloud platforms, preferably Azure.
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills and the ability to analyze application diagnostics, preferably with Elastic/Kibana (nice to have).
  • Professional fluency in English.
