  • Perform Wind Resource Assessments to assess wind and site conditions (based on
  • measurement campaigns and/or existing WTG), according to IEC 61400-15 and Measnet standards.
  • Calculate wind flow maps using CFD and WAsP models.
  • Perform and have experience with MCP methods.
  • Estimate Park production uncertainty according to ISO/IEC Guide 98-3:2008, Measnet standards and other industry standards.
  • Analyze constraints for every specific site and support our customers and sales team in proposing the best possible turbine type, layout to get the most suitable energy yield, considering the project constraints (hub height, rotor diameter, shadow, noise, etc.).
  • Calculate the impact of site-specific conditions on WTGs and propose suitable WTG classes for the project.
  • Evaluate noise, shadow, and flickering using windPRO environmental impact modules.
  • Combine technical requirements, practical limitations and financial opportunities into an optimized site layout.
  • Identify risks and opportunities in early phase and develop adequate mitigation Measures.
  • Perform Production Assessments including curtailments.
  • Prepare Site Assessment and other reports and explain these to our stakeholders.
  • Implement and support corporate processes and quality assurance.
  • Analyze and challenge (if necessary) external reports.
  • Negotiate with turbine manufacturers. 
  • Guide the junior team members with their work.
  • Ensure compliance to corporate Health, Safety & Environmental standards.
  • Occasionally travelling within the country and abroad is part of the job.
Your profile
  • University degree in Engineering/Physics/Meteorology or equivalent.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar position.
  • Good understanding of the cycle of wind projects and the wind industry.
  • Proven experience in planning wind measurement campaigns (met mast and LIDAR), micro-siting, and wind resource assessments.  
  • In-depth knowledge of wind flow modelling and the use of relevant software such as WindPro, WAsP, and CFD (e.g. Meteodyn).
  • Knowledge in renewable energy in general, and wind energy in particular.
  • Fluent in English with strong communication skills (speaking, reading, and writing); proficiency in additional languages is preferred.
  • Mandatory software skills: WindPro or WindFarmer, and QGIS or ArcGIS; Desired skills include CFD and Windographer. 
  • Knowledge of IEC, Measnet, and other relevant codes and industry practices.
  • Knowledge of electrical components/system design.
  • Self-driven and process-oriented working style, with sufficient flexibility to cover the unforeseen.
  • Capability to work at the level of the industry’s best practice while demonstrating eagerness to learn and expand the team’s knowledge and capabilities.
  • Willingness to travel.
