We are looking for a talented Finance professional to support our Group Chief Financial Officer at Aliaxis with the effective running and advancement of the CFO Office and to drive specific key strategic and business initiatives.

Our ideal candidate will have several years of finance experience acquired in consulting and/or financial advisory/audit, combined with experience in an industry environment. Besides a relevant finance background, strategic capabilities with strong collaboration and influencing skills, as well as project/change management expertise and ability to operate within a truly global environment are a must.

Job description

As a genuine internal consultant reporting to the Group CFO, the Finance Chief of Staff supports the effective running and advancement of the CFO office and drives key strategic and business transformation initiatives across the organization.

The role includes the following responsibilities:

  • Provide strategic and operational support to the CFO, acting as an effective soundboard & challenger to drive accountability and deliver results.
  • Partnership with the regions and other stakeholders to understand requirements, develop and propose initiatives to deliver on targets.
  • Anticipate potential risks on strategic projects and advise the CFO on mitigation actions.
  • Support the CFO in the design of his organization and building of a high-performing team.
  • Coordinate and deliver meeting and presentation materials for the board, audit committee, and executive committees.
  • Work closely with the Executive Assistant to the CFO to manage critical projects and programs.
  • Further contribution in various relevant areas depending on the Chief of Staff’s experience, interest, or development preferences (e.g. FP&A, Tax, Treasury, M&A, IT, Controlling, Finance Transformation).

The role operates at a global level (matrix organization) and is based in our headquarters in Brussels, with flexible home working possibilities.

Requirements

  • At least 3 years' relevant multi-disciplinary finance experience acquired in consulting (e.g. management consulting, M&A, investment banking…) or financial advisory/audit.
  • Operational experience in an industry environment preferred.
  • Solid leadership and coaching skills with the ability to work strategically and collaboratively across departments.
  • Master’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business Engineering or other relevant field. MBA is appreciated.
  • Expertise in data analysis and budget management.
  • High level of integrity, trustworthy, able to handle highly confidential and sensitive information.
  • Proven ability to manage complex projects.
  • Innovative thinker, with strong problem-solving and analytical capabilities.
  • At ease in a fast-paced environment in transformation and to work in a diverse international environment.
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills in English, with the ability to interact with people at all levels of seniority, including Executive Committee and Board members.
