Reporting to the General Counsel & Corporate Secretary, the Program Director will oversee daily operations and administrative activities for ReMA’s affiliated 501c(3) foundation. This role is responsible for working with the RERF Board of Directors to implement their strategy and vision. 


The Program Director will be the main point of contact for the Foundation, serving as the key bridge between ReMA and the Foundation. This role will manage current signature RERF programs, including scholarships and an annual silent auction and work with the Board to envision and implement additional development programs.


Principal Duties and Responsibilities (Essential Functions)

  • Coordinates with the Board of Directors to develop and implement the business plan and strategy to promote the organization’s mission and “voice”.
  • Works with Board to create and implement a year-round fundraising plan to grow annual revenue from a diversity of sources, including, signature events, corporate giving and sponsorships, annual giving, and individual gifts.
  • Leads efforts for grant funding applications related to recycling research and educational programs.
  • Identifies new opportunities and programs to align with the organization’s mission.
  • Oversees and leads current fundraising events, including logistics coordination and day-of support; also develops and executes new signature fundraising events.
  • Builds and sustains a trusting and transparent relationship with the RERF board of directors.
  • Forges and maintains relations with ReMA staff, to harness the resources necessary to support the RERF and its mission, members, and stakeholders.
  • Manages the financials of the foundation, coordinates with the ReMA finance department to process and track financial information. Creates and manages an annual budget, ensuring financial priorities are met.
  • Devises remedial actions for any identified issues and conduct crisis management when necessary.
  • Acts as public relations representative of RERF in ways that strengthen its profile.
  • Maintains and updates the foundation’s website.


Job Specifications

  • Relevant experience in non-profit or fundraising operations, including budgeting, forecasting and event management. 
  • Strong organizational skills, highly detailed and able to maintain a high level of professionalism and cooperation among staff, leadership and external partners. 
  • Excellent verbal, written, and communication skills are required; ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization and the Board of Directors
  • Ability to work independently under general instructions on a wide variety of special projects.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, and Power Point), Adobe Acrobat, and Social Media web platforms.
  • Must have exceptional skills in editing documents, memos, presentations, and spreadsheets.
  • Ability to function both independently and in a team-oriented collaborative environment. 
  • Capable of setting priorities when multiple demands are present.
  • High level of discretion, tact, judgment, and poise. Ability to handle & maintain the confidentiality of highly sensitive information. 

Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree in English, Social Sciences, Business or comparable field

5-8 years minimum experience in a role supporting association executives.

Strong working knowledge of Association governance. 


Working Conditions

Salary range for this position is between $85,000 - $100,000.

ReMA embraces a hybrid work environment, with one day worked in the office and four days worked remotely. 

Some travel will be required. General office work environment.
