The CTP deploys significant funds to support California's transition to zero-emission vehicles and infrastructure. These positions will have the opportunity to assist with development of grant funding solicitations and agreement management activities that emphasize zero-emission vehicle and infrastructure areas.

What you need to qualify:

Education: Equivalent to graduation from college with a major in ecology, energy, environment, energy economics, statistics, operations research, planning, land use, engineering, geology, physical or biological science, or a closely related energy field.

Emerging Opportunities, Agriculture, and Construction Unit:

The Emerging Opportunities, Agriculture, and Construction Unit within the CIZTI Branch is responsible for complex programs to accelerate ZEV infrastructure deployment to serve highly technical and complex market segments including school buses, agriculture, construction, aviation, maritime, and locomotive and their unique electric distribution grid and energy needs.

Truck, Bus, and Goods Movement Unit:

The Truck, Bus, and Goods Movement Unit within the CIZTI Branch is responsible for complex programs related to medium-duty and heavy-duty (MDHD) vehicles and infrastructure to support state regulations requiring a strong network of zero-emission energy infrastructure to support California’s economy and goods movement across ports, distribution centers, and warehouses.

 

Desirable Qualifications:

  1. Ability to reason logically and creatively while using a variety of analytical techniques, tools, and software.
  2. Attention to detail and ability to learn, understand, and apply agreement management and contract policies and procedures.
  3. Ability to gather, compile, analyze, and interpret written and numerical data, including financial data, and prepare research and statistical reports.
  4. Excellent communication skills including the ability to communicate ideas, data, and information effectively to a diverse audience.
  5. Excellent writing skills, including proper grammar and punctuation.
  6. Ability to work effectively with a team on time-sensitive projects.
  7. Ability to take initiative and work proactively.
  8. Familiar with clean transportation and energy.
