We are currently looking for an experienced IT/AWS Engineer to join our team, where you'll play a crucial role in enhancing our server and cloud operations. Responsibilities:

  • You ensure that the Smappee servers and services run reliably and securely
  • You manage our Linux servers, ensuring they are highly available and run efficiently while resolving issues that arise.   
  • You implement and deploy new projects on our Linux-based cloud infrastructure.   
  •  As part of this task, you bring our real-time cloud monitoring systems to a new level. 
  • You are responsible for the monitoring systems of our services, the underlying cloud servers, the AWS services, and a large number of distributed devices.   
  • By selecting, measuring and analysing the critical health indicators, you improve the system reliability.
  • You collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure your systems for incident alerting and central logging continuously provide them with a clear picture of the current systems status, 

Requirements

  • You have a Bachelor/Master in Computer Science, a related field or equivalent trough experience. 
  • You have proven experience with managing Linux servers and using shell scripting. 
  • You have experience with solutions that monitor server environments (using tools such as Nagios, Zabbix, New Relic, or others). 
  • Some familiarity with tools for CI/CD and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) is beneficial. 
  • Experience with working in AWS cloud is nice to have. 
  • You have excellent communication skills, strong in collaboration and teamwork, allowing you to clearly convey technical information and collaborate with team members. 
  • You possess strong problem-solving skills and are adaptable to changing environments and requirements.
