The opportunity

 

Pollination is looking for a Business Analyst to join our dynamic team, located in either Sydney, Melbourne or Brisbane. You will work alongside a friendly and experienced team to advise corporates, financial institutions, and governments on all aspects of the transition to climate net zero and nature-based solutions. Working as part of a team of subject matter experts, you will drive value for clients across a wide range of sectors. 


Responsibilities:


  • Contribute to the design of structured solutions and best-in-class analysis to solve our clients most challenging issues. 
  • Source and process commercial, environmental, financial, and socio-economic data and leverage Pollination’s expertise to develop new insights for clients. 
  • Support production of client-facing materials, such as pitch decks, case studies, reports, and data presentations.
  • Lead the development of relevant financial models in collaboration with a project team.
  • Help clients manage their internal engagement, including having regular contact with external stakeholders, supporting client meetings, client contact, and communicating the conclusions of key pieces of analysis. 
  • Assist in the development of problem-solving strategies across client groups, including developing Pollination IP and thought leadership. 
  • Drive impact for clients and advance the company's mission of towards net zero.


What you will bring


  • 1-3 years professional experience gained within a commercial, corporate or financial environment
  • Strong personal interest in climate change and sustainability fields.
  • Experience in consulting and relationship building and the ability to interact effectively with senior stakeholders and with teams
  • Able to draw insights from data sets and logically map out solutions to client needs, seeks innovative approaches and pathways
  • Apply a commercial mindset to the analysis of opportunities, to drive meaningful impact that has both positive environmental and commercial outcomes for clients.
  • Developed research skills including the ability to design and articulate engaging presentations to communicate complex ideas, and to produce polished reports, slide decks, and visual data or financial models, with meticulous attention to detail.
  • High attention to detail, can be relied upon to ensure the accuracy of materials and data.
  • Able to plan, execute, and progress projects within scope and timeline. Demonstrates strong organisational skills and effective prioritisation to achieve project goals and deliverables.
  • You'll likely have an advanced university qualification in engineering, science, technology, economics, business, mathematics, law or a closely related field, although this is not a requirement.
