Your role
As our first Senior Product Designer, you will be a key member of our Product team, reporting to the VP of Product. You'll work closely with product managers, engineers, marketers, and senior leadership to deliver impactful user experiences for our Value Chain and Carbon Market products, as well as improve flows in the Internal Platforms used daily by our operations teams. 
 
Our products enable a diverse range of customers, from large corporations to small and medium project developers, to reliably verify and claim climate impact. Your work will help these customers achieve their climate goals by reducing CO2 emissions and enhancing sustainability practices. 
 
Our Product team is dedicated to pushing boundaries and driven by SustainCERT's mission of bringing scientific credibility to climate action. Our team works primarily remotely, with most team members based in Luxembourg or Amsterdam. For this role, you should be based in Luxembourg. 


Your key tasks 

  • Craft impactful user experiences and designs supported by user research, data analysis, hypothesis formulation, sketching, and prototyping.  
  • Work closely with Product Management, Engineering, Marketing, and Senior Leadership to deliver value through your design work.  
  • Build and implement a product design strategy that supports the company's product roadmap and objectives.  
  • Mentor colleagues on design principles, fostering a culture of creativity, collaboration, and innovation.  
  • Advocate for user-centered design principles and best practices throughout the organization.  
  • Perform user research and competitive benchmarking, staying current with trends, technologies, and best practices in the climate, scope3, and carbon markets spaces. 

You have these claims to fame 

  • At least 5 years of experience in Product Design.  
  • Proficiency in design tools such as Figma or similar, with experience in prototyping flows. 
  • Proven expertise in designing innovative, user-centered solutions, with a deep understanding of design principles and best practices.  
  • A proven track record of conducting user research, including interviews and usability testing, to inform and iterate on design decisions.  
  • A flexible and growth-oriented mindset, capable of designing for immediate needs while keeping an eye on long-term user experience goals.  
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.  

Bonus points for

  • Experience with B2B products and system design.  
  • A passion for sustainability and climate technology solutions.
