As the Senior Supply Chain MRP Specialist, you are the cornerstone of our strategic sourcing and manufacturing operations. You will play a pivotal role in identifying, qualifying, and managing relationships with contract manufacturers, ensuring they meet our quality and performance standards. In addition, you will lead the implementation and optimization of our Material Requirements Planning (MRP) system within Microsoft Dynamics Business Central, driving efficiency and accuracy in our supply chain processes. Your expertise in both vendor management and MRP systems will be crucial in enhancing our operational effectiveness and supporting our company's growth objectives.

You have exceptional negotiation and communication skills. You have been involved in an implementation project, and have the problem solving skills and determination required to get it across the line. You enjoy cross-functional work in a fast-paced environment, but can also dig in, and double-down on detailed work.

What you will do:

  • MRP Implementation and Management:
    • Lead the end-to-end implementation of the MRP system.
    • Collaborate with Finance, Sales and Field Service Operations to configure the MRP system to meet business requirements and optimize inventory management, production planning, and procurement processes.
    • Develop and execute training programs for internal users to ensure effective adoption and utilization of the MRP system.
    • Develop and execute the transition plan for migrating planning systems from Google Sheets to MRP.
    • Serve as the primary user and subject matter expert of the MRP system, continuously improving its functionality and addressing any issues or enhancements.
    • Manage and Execute MRP Processes: Oversee the end-to-end Material Requirements Planning (MRP) process, ensuring alignment with annual forecasts and production schedules. Develop and maintain MRP systems to optimize inventory levels and meet production needs efficiently.
    • Analyze MRP data to drive decision-making and ensure alignment with overall supply chain strategy.
  • Contract Manufacturer Sourcing and Other duties as assigned:
    • Identify, evaluate, and qualify potential contract manufacturers based on capabilities, cost, quality, and capacity.
    • Develop and maintain strong relationships with selected contract manufacturers, ensuring alignment with company goals and quality standards.
    • Negotiate and finalize contracts, including pricing, terms, and delivery schedules.
    • Issue Purchase Orders (POs) and manage the procurement process, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of materials and products.
    • Monitor and address performance issues, ensuring manufacturers meet or exceed agreed-upon metrics and standards.
    • Coordinate with internal stakeholders to address any supply chain disruptions or quality concerns.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration:
    • Work closely with Engineering, Manufacturing and Quality, and Field Service Operations teams to ensure seamless integration and alignment across the supply chain.
    • Provide regular updates and reports to management on the status of contract manufacturing relationships, MRP implementation progress, Demand Planning and other key metrics.
    • Host the weekly S&OE and monthly S&OP meetings with Sales and Field Service Operations teams, providing updates on production plans and deliveries.

Requirements

We want you to succeed so you will need:

  • 5+ years working experience in Supply Chain with a focus in Demand or Materials Planning.
  • Preference to someone with experience in custom hardware sourcing.
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Strong knowledge of Material Requirements Planning (MRP) systems, with hands-on experience in implementing and managing MRP within ERP systems, preferably Microsoft Dynamics Business Central.
  • Proven experience in sourcing and managing contract manufacturers, including contract negotiation and performance management.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in Google G Suite (Sheets, Docs, Slides) or Microsoft Office Suite with the ability to transfer skills.

Nice to have:

  • Experience in the electronics contract manufacturing industry.
  • Professional certification (e.g., APICS, Lean Six Sigma, etc).

Salary range: $76,500 to $90,000 per year

Please note that the base pay offered may vary based on factors including but not limited to knowledge, skills and experience, as well as business and organizational needs.
