About the Role:

As a Pre-Sales Solutions Consultant at Datamaran, you will be an integral part of the sales team, responsible for understanding client needs and presenting tailored solutions that align with their business goals. You will work closely with sales representatives, product teams, and clients to demonstrate the value of our software offerings and guide prospects through the sales process and technical evaluation process.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Client Discovery: Engage with prospective clients to understand their business challenges, technical requirements, and goals. Conduct needs assessments to identify how our Datamaran solutions can address their specific business ESG needs
  • Solution Development: Design and propose solutions that meet client requirements, leveraging your deep understanding of the Datamaran Platform and the client's business environment
  • Product Demonstrations: Deliver compelling, tailored demonstrations of the Datamaran Platform to prospective clients, highlighting key features, benefits, and how they solve the client's pain points
  • Technical Support: Provide technical guidance throughout the sales cycle, addressing any technical questions or concerns that arise. Assist in overcoming any technical barriers that may impede the sales process
  • Proposal Creation: Collaborate with the sales team to create detailed proposals, RFP responses, and presentations that effectively communicate the value of our ESG solutions
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Work with product management and engineering teams to provide feedback from clients and prospects, influencing product development and enhancements based on market demands
  • Market and Product Knowledge: Stay current with ESG industry trends, competitive products, and emerging technologies to better position our solutions in the market and address client needs effectively
  • Client Relationship Building: Establish and maintain strong relationships with key C-Suite stakeholders at prospective client organizations, becoming a trusted technical advisor
  • Sales Enablement: Assist in training and educating the sales team on technical aspects of our products, ensuring they are equipped to effectively communicate our Platforms value proposition

Requirements

  • Education:
    • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Business, or a related field
  • Experience:
    • 3+ year of ESG Experience in SaaS, Consultancy or Advisory
    • 5+ years of experience in a pre-sales, solutions consulting, or technical sales engineering role, preferably within a software company
    • Proven ability to design and present software solutions that meet client needs and drive sales success
    • Experience with enterprise software, SaaS platforms, and cloud technologies is highly desirable
  • Technical Skills:
    • Strong understanding of ESG Landscape, ESG Competitors, Consultancies 
    • Proficiency in conducting Platform demonstrations and configuring product features to meet client requirements
    • Familiarity with CRM systems and other sales tools
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Analytical Thinking: Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to quickly understand client challenges and design appropriate solutions
  • Interpersonal Skills: Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with clients and internal teams, demonstrating empathy and a client-first approach
  • Adaptability: Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, managing multiple opportunities and tasks simultaneously
