Main goal of the Alumni Relations Committee: Provide Queen’s engineering students with opportunities to connect with alumni for mentorship, networking, and more.

Description:
The Alumni Relations Committee is dedicated to promoting connections between current Queen’s engineering students and alumni. Alumni provide a valuable perspective on the engineering program at Queen’s, as well as what opportunities are available for engineering students after graduation. The Alumni Relations Committee works to facilitate events where students and alumni have an opportunity to network and build both professional and personal connections. Past initiatives have included job shadowing and mentorship programs, First Year Discipline Selection Brunch, Clark Hall Pub Social, and more. The committee has a lot of freedom to come up with new ideas for initiatives. Applicants should be motivated, have strong organizational skills, and work well in a team setting.

Note: No experience is required for this position. You will have the opportunity to expand your professional development knowledge in this role.

Key responsibilities include:

  • 🤝🏻 Maintaining and growing relationships with alumni
  • ✍️ Organizing events to connect students and alumni for the purposes of mentorship and networking

Time commitment:

  • 🗓️ 1 weekly meeting with the Alumni Relations Committee
  • 📌 Additional time spent organizing alumni initiatives with your teammates
