About the Role

We are excited to add an Operations Generalist to our team! Reporting to our co-founder, the Ops Generalist will lead, from strategy to execution, several high impact areas in our operations function. 

We’re looking for a proactive person with a strong drive to achieve results and prior experience managing physical operations.  The ideal candidate is equally adept in the details delivering work as they are formulating strategic plans. They have broad experience in business management and are capable of thriving in uncertain situations. Ideally, they have experience working in a Seed to Series B startup with a background and passion for energy / climate work. 

Responsibilities include though are not limited to:

• Lead installation quality management initiatives. Deliver root cause analysis and corrective actions on all call backs, rework, change orders, failed inspections, etc. Embrace the role of Quality Champion within the company. 
• Push best practices and learnings from our internal installers across all partners. Be the conduit of learnings between installers, project managers, design, and sales functions.
• Oversee our trade partner network. Identify, vet, onboard, manage, and grow a network of high quality install partners.
• Unlock equipment volume discounts and labor pricing terms that lower total cost of ownership and drive margin.
• Serve as a thought partner to leadership specific to your subject matter expertise. Develop and enhance organized workflows, measurement systems, and boost operational productivity across the organization.
• Actively perpetuate an inclusive, equitable, collaborative working environment in which psychological safety comes first.

About You

• 5+ years of experience in consulting, business operations or strategy, project management, or similar cross-functional role
• Demonstrated experience managing day to day physical operations related to manufacturing, logistics, maintenance, transportation, or similar.  
• Direct experience building or improving KPI frameworks to drive operational efficiency
• Passion for the problem we are working to solve

Nice to Have, But Not Required

• Technical or engineering background.
• Knowledge of residential buildings, building science, HVAC, electrical, solar, and/or other related fields.
• Experience in the home services or construction industry
• Experience working on a distributed team, familiarity with remote communication tools.

Total Compensation

• Annual base salary of $90,000 – $120,000, commensurate with experience and in line with internal compensation bands 
• Stock options, commensurate with experience and in line with internal equity bands
• Medical, dental insurance covered at 75% for employees
