We have an opportunity for a motivated individual to fill the role of Financial Analyst. In this position, the successful candidate will drive insightful, accurate and timely analysis of the Company’s financials, as well as play a key role in developing budgets, forecasts and other financial models. This position will report to the Assistant Controller.

Why This Role Is Important:

The Financial Analyst position is vital for maintaining financial health, driving operational efficiency, and supporting strategic decision-making within the company.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the review and analysis of the Company’s balance sheet and P&L on a monthly/quarterly/yearly basis, ensuring all charges are recorded in the correct period, account and department.
  • Review reconciliations from other team members and validate against monthly financials.
  • Assist in developing detailed annual budgets and rolling forecasts that align with the Company’s strategic objectives.
  • Collaborate with the department heads to gather budget inputs and assumptions.
  • Monitor actual vs budget performance, investigate root causes of significant variances and provide updates to department heads.
  • Prepare various management reports with detailed commentary on key variances and trends.
  • Contribute to process improvement initiatives that enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of Company reporting needs.
  • Assist in preparing materials for board meetings and investor communications.
  • Perform other duties and assist in special projects as necessary.

Desired Skills and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, CPA, or eligibility for the CPA track is preferred.
  • Minimum 4 years of progressive experience in accounting, FP&A, financial analysis or similar role.
  • The ability to take initiative, work independently, and prioritize multiple projects is essential.
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to recognize variances in accounts, investigate and summarize articulate explanations for management review.
  • Must possess the ability to effectively present and collaborate with senior leadership, including Managers, Directors, Vice Presidents, and the CFO, to drive decision-making and support business initiatives
  • Possesses outstanding skills in both verbal and written communication.
  • Experience with proper procedures for month-end cutoff transactions & reconciliation of subledgers to General Ledger.
  • Must have advanced experience with Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), including the ability to pull and build reports, create pivot tables, use lookup statements, and manage large datasets using Excel.
  • Highly preferred experience in financial modeling, including assisting in the creation and development of financial models.
  • Experience with NetSuite, including proficiency in advanced formulas preferred.

Location: Shelton, CT 

Compensation
$85,000$95,000 USD

Compensation is based on factors including level of experience, skillset, qualifications, and location.
