What we're looking for

You’ll be one of the first hires on Visia’s forward-deployed platform team. We’re looking for builders with a customer-centric mindset. If face-time with customers, testing ML models on-site, leveraging our proprietary ML platform to drive customer improvements, and being able to work on cutting-edge tech appeals to you, then read on.

You would serve as a bridge between our customers and platform team, driving ML-first improvements and contributing to the Visia platform as we scale across North America.

Responsibilities

• Own Visia platform implementations at customer facilities
  • Run performance/machine learning audits on-site to calibrate our waste composition models
  • Document audit findings and implementation processes to ensure customer success post-launch
• Collaborate with customers on-site to ensure the system is functioning effectively, address concerns, and provide real-time feedback and support
• Work closely with Visia’s platform team to critically analyze, troubleshoot, and ideate on real-world additions to the Visia platform

Qualifications

• Willingness to travel ~60-70% of your week during busy weeks, and comfortable with getting hands-on in industrial facilities to test system performance
• Proven ability to effectively communicate and engage with customers that range in terms of technical expertise
• Highly detail-oriented with strong documentation skills
• Able to work independently and efficiently in a fast-paced startup environment
• No minimum experience — just a strong passion for creating positive change in one of the world’s most important industries

Bonus

• Proficiency in Python and a solid understanding of UNIX command line usage is a plus
• Interest in machine learning and Visia’s impact in the waste and recycling space
