What the role involves
We are seeking an experienced Senior Embedded Software Engineer, Validation to lead the development, testing, and validation of our embedded systems. In this role, you will play a critical part in system integration, tooling, automation, and build/release management to ensure the reliability and scalability of Hayden AI’s products. You will work on proof-of-concept (POC) projects, support the field team, and drive continuous integration and deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
Key Responsibilities
Contribute to the testing framework of embedded systems during system integration phases to ensure high performance and reliability.
Design and develop tooling and automation frameworks to streamline validation processes and reduce testing cycles.
Manage build and release processes for embedded software, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality releases.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop POCs for new features and capabilities.
Implement and optimize CI/CD pipelines to improve development efficiency and quality assurance.
Interface with field teams to troubleshoot and validate system performance in real-world environments.
Develop and execute comprehensive test plans to ensure system robustness and compliance with project requirements.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
5+ years of experience in embedded software validation, system integration, and testing.
Proficiency in scripting and programming languages such as Python, Bash, C, or C++.
Strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines and experience with tools like Jenkins, GitLab, or equivalent.
Experience with automation frameworks and test tooling for embedded systems.
Solid understanding of build and release management for embedded software.
Hands-on experience in field interfacing and validating systems in deployment environments.
Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills with a detail-oriented mindset.
Bonus Skills
Experience with embedded Linux and real-time operating systems (RTOS).
Knowledge of hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) testing methodologies.
Familiarity with debugging tools and equipment such as oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and JTAG debuggers.
Understanding of agile development methodologies.
