The Opportunity

We are seeking a Senior Geotechnical Engineer to join our team. In this pivotal role, you will lead geotechnical engineering projects, delivering expert analyses and recommendations for bridges, retaining walls, foundations, underground works, ground treatments, and general ground engineering.

Key responsibilities:

  • Scoping, conducting, and analysing site investigations. Prepare GFR, GIR and Geotechnical design reports. Reviewing and analysing tender documents for construction projects.

  • Providing engineering analyses for deep and shallow foundations, ensuring that the designs are safe, cost-effective, and meet project requirements.

  • Assisting with earthworks, material re-use, spoil management, geospatial contamination data analysis, and coordinating with environmental teams to ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards.

  • Performing cut/fill analysis, batter optimization, kinematic analysis, retaining walls, anchoring, MSE walls, and other relevant tasks for road widening works, ensuring that the designs are safe, efficient, and meet project specification.

Required Skills and Competencies

  • Bachelor's or master’s degree in civil engineering or a related field.

  • Extensive experience in geotechnical engineering.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Familiarity with relevant software, tools, and regulations in geotechnical engineering.

  • Shallow and deep foundation experience would be highly regarded.

  • Earthworks design experience will be highly regarded.
