This entry level position will make immediate contributions to the team responsible for Process or System Engineering, while being technically mentored by a team of high performing engineers. The individual will work within an energetic team environment to perform complex problem solving to support a variety of applications for existing as well as new plants

Roles and Responsibilities
Additionally, depending on position, your role will include some of the following technical responsibilities:
- Assists in the development and implementation of integrated design processes pertaining to requirements management, requirements traceability, configuration management, change control principles, standards, and best practices through the design, licensing, construction, and decommissioning life of the reactor.
- Conducts component and system integration with overall nuclear plant design. Focused on activities that span multiple components and systems that are concerned with how to integrate for maximum performance, operability, and design to cost.
- Support initiatives for new or improved plant components and system-level analyses.
- Contribute to new plant design activities for various power plant systems.
- Develop drawings and specifications to assure products can reliably meet all engineering and quality requirements.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in chemical engineering or related discipline from an accredited college of university.

- The required work location for this role is at the GE Hitachi Nuclear Headquarters Wilmington, NC (relocation assistance provided)

Desired Characteristics
- Understanding of basic material property behavior.
- Understanding of basic chemical process engineering.
- Understanding of engineering design documents and drawings.
- Familiarity with BWR plant systems and/or chemistry issues.
- Experience in ChemCAD, Aspen, or similar software.
- Demonstrated high energy and the ability to energize others.
- Background in nuclear power plant technology.
- Demonstrate a strong personal commitment and determination.
- Detail oriented and accountable for results.
- Communicate with credibility and humility.
- Displays a strong drive for continuous improvement.
- Excellent technical writing and verbal communication skills.
