Your role as a Trainee - Sustainable Engineering

We are looking for an ambitious and motivated young talent for our Vattenfall International Trainee Programme. The programme is aimed at talented engineers (m/f/d) with a technical or process engineering background who want to start their career as a transformation driver in our company. After successfully completing the programme, the goal is to work as a Project manager (m/f/d) for change management processes in one of our power plants and lead the transformation towards digital, AI-driven, energy-optimised and emissions-reduced driving.

Your responsibilities:

  • Training and development: Participation in the International Trainee Programme, which includes comprehensive training and practical phases in various business areas and locations, primarily in Rostock. 
  • Project Management: Support in the planning and implementation of change management projects, with a focus on power plant process transformation.
  • Digitalisation and AI implementation: Participation in the development and implementation of strategies for digitisation and the application of artificial intelligence in power plant processes.
  • Energy Optimisation: Analysis and optimisation of energy flows and processes to increase efficiency and sustainability.
  • Change Management: Preparation for the role of Project manager (m/f/d) for change management processes upon completion of the trainee programme.
  • Teamwork and leadership: Develop leadership skills and work effectively in interdisciplinary and sometimes international teams.
