Position Overview:

As the Director of Demand Generation, you will be responsible for developing and executing comprehensive demand generation strategies that drive qualified leads and revenue growth. You will lead a high-performing team, collaborate with sales and marketing, and leverage data-driven insights to optimize campaign performance and achieve our ambitious growth targets.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Planning: Develop and implement a holistic demand generation strategy that aligns with company objectives and revenue goals. Define key metrics and KPIs to measure and drive success
  • Campaign Management: Oversee the planning, execution, and optimization of multi-channel demand generation campaigns, including email marketing, content marketing, paid media, SEO, SEA, and webinars
  • Team Leadership: Build, lead, mentor, and expand the demand generation team. Foster a culture of innovation and collaboration, setting clear goals and expectations for team performance
  • Data-Driven Decision Making: Analyze performance data and market trends to continuously refine strategies and tactics. Implement best practices for A/B testing, lead scoring, and conversion optimization
  • Sales Collaboration: Work closely with the sales team to ensure alignment between marketing and sales efforts. Develop strategies to improve lead quality and accelerate the sales pipeline
  • Content Strategy: Partner with the Brand & Comms team to create compelling content that resonates with target audiences and drives engagement and lead generation
  • Budget Management: Develop and manage the demand generation budget, ensuring efficient allocation of resources and maximizing ROI
  • Technology & Tools: Leverage marketing automation platforms, CRM systems, and other tools to streamline processes, enhance campaign effectiveness, and track performance
  • Market Research: Stay abreast of industry trends, competitive landscape, and emerging technologies to inform strategy and maintain a competitive edge
  • Budget Management - developing a comprehensive plan in regards to budget and ROI

Requirements

  • Experience: Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in demand generation, marketing, or related roles within a B2B SaaS environment, with at least 3-5 years in a leadership position
  • Skills: Proven track record of developing and executing successful demand generation strategies. Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and drive actionable insights
  • Leadership: Demonstrated experience in leading and mentoring teams, with a focus on achieving results and fostering a collaborative work environment
  • Technical Proficiency: Expertise in marketing automation platforms (e.g., HubSpot), CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce), and analytics tools
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex ideas clearly and effectively to various stakeholders
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field. MBA or advanced degree preferred

Datamaran operates on a hybrid basis from our 4 hubs. Our Marketing team will grow from our developing office in Leeuwarden where we will require the new Marketing Director to attend and collaborate in-person at least 2 to 4 times per month, allowing for a commute from the Amsterdam area for example
