What are you going to do?

The production of corrugated board and its processing into packaging is a very specific process. The start of this process begins with our corrugated board machines, where corrugated board sheets are made. These sheets are then processed into boxes in the Processing department by cutting, folding, printing, and die-cutting them, among other things. And all of this, of course, according to specific designs, qualities, and sizes that are unique to each customer.

As a machine operator of our new folding and gluing machines, you are responsible for setting up, converting, operating, and checking the entire folding and gluing line. The folding/gluing department operates in a 3-shift system (06.00-14.30, 14.00/22.30, and 22.00/06.30). As an operator, you are responsible for the machines that fold and glue corrugated cardboard packaging. You ensure that the production process runs as safely and efficiently as possible. You ensure quality by performing agreed-upon checks. If you notice any deviations, you try to resolve them immediately, so that they have as little impact as possible on the overall process. Your aim is to achieve maximum productivity and output.

We produce corrugated cardboard packaging for various companies, and together with your team, you ensure that they are produced according to the standards and requirements of these customers. This means that the machine may need to be converted multiple times a day to fold and/or glue a different size of box, for example.

Furthermore, the following tasks are part of this position:

  • You check the order information and set up the machine(s) accordingly;
  • Solving any malfunctions;
  • Supervising the employees in setting up and operating the line;
  • Checking the produced orders;
  • Ensuring a clean and tidy work environment;

In addition, you are also responsible for the maintenance and cleaning of the machines. You ensure that the machines continue to function properly and perform preventive maintenance. You also ensure that the work environment remains clean and tidy, so that work can be done safely and efficiently.

In summary, as a machine operator of our folding and gluing machines, you are responsible for setting up, operating, checking, and maintaining the machines. You ensure that the production of corrugated cardboard packaging runs according to the standards and requirements of our customers, and that the production process is safe and efficient.
