What will you be doing?

The production of corrugated board and its processing into packaging is a very specific process. The start of this process begins with our corrugated board machine, where corrugated board sheets are made. These sheets are then processed into boxes in the Processing department by cutting, folding, printing, and die-cutting them. And all of this, of course, according to specific designs, qualities, and sizes that are unique for each customer.

The Concierge is a true all-rounder. You can handle tools, cleaning cloths, and are also handy with machines. You ensure the availability of the necessary raw materials and auxiliary materials to the processing and water treatment installation(s), such as separating agents, filters, soap, glue, adhesive tape, cutting mats, and lid foil, and you also check the presence of the necessary auxiliary materials for the corrugated board machine .

  • Starting up the installation - checking pH values - manually dosing raw materials and supplies - disposing of waste in containers - stopping the installation if necessary (such as in case of safety issues);
  • Receiving and assisting drivers - checking receipts and documents - loading/unloading trucks using a forklift - identifying deviations and informing the relevant supervisor, coordinating the next steps;
  • Checking the availability of supplies at the installations, refilling if necessary - identifying (potential) stock shortages - informing the Product Technical Specialist (CBM) of the needs or requesting supplies from suppliers in coordination with the supervisor;
  • Performing various internal transport tasks upon request using a forklift - storing materials in designated areas;
  • Identifying malfunctions and defects in the forklift and reporting them to the supervisor - placing forklifts at the battery charging station;
  • Conducting inspection rounds, disposing of (remaining) waste in containers using a pallet truck - arranging for waste containers to be collected by an external waste processing company;
  • Complying with regulations in the areas of safety, occupational health, and the environment - addressing unsafe behavior by internal and external individuals - identifying and reporting deviations and any emergencies - keeping the work environment and installation(s) clean - participating in toolbox meetings.

Furthermore, in this role, you are responsible for:

  • Monitoring the production process;
  • Starting up the corrugated board machine and managing the glue kitchen and boiler house;
  • Reporting repairs and registering fault information in the system, potentially providing explanations to the Technical Department;
  • Escalating unsolvable faults and quality deviations to the Team Leader;
  • Monitoring the functioning of installations;
  • Ensuring a proper handover during shift changes;
  • Coaching and providing technical guidance for tasks and providing input to the supervisor regarding training, development, and performance;
  • Complying with regulations in the areas of safety, occupational health, and the environment, and addressing unsafe behavior by internal and external individuals;

  • You possess a valid forklift certificate;
  • You are proactive and take initiative in handling tasks and assignments.

What do we offer you?

  • A full-time position at a leading company;
  • Fixed-term contract with the prospect of a permanent employment;
  • A competitive salary with a pension scheme and travel expense reimbursement;
  • A challenging job with room for further development and sufficient opportunities for career growth.
