Main Purpose: Effectively meet contractual requirements and maintain a fully staffed team to conduct our operations successfully.

Main Activities: 

1-Comply with all regulations, manuals, codes of safety, health and environment as well as corporate guidelines on Quality, health, safety and atmosphere.
2. Prioritize responsibility and commitment to quality of its products and services in safety, health and work environment of all activities in charge
3. Ensure compliance with each and every one of the rules, regulations, procedures and instructions of Wärtsilä
4. Immediately report any event that affects the Safety, Health and Environmental Management.
5. Suspend any activity when danger exists imminent accidents at work, illnesses
occupational and negative environmental impacts.

6. Permanently check the condition of the boilers,keep it operational through adequate
water supply of the different sections of the plant, according to company procedures.
7. Monitor the condition of measuring instruments and materials in order to achieve proper functioning of the boilers.
8. Ensure the availability of the boilers.
9. Take appropriate action in case of alarms or events.
10. Keep the shift record book updated.
11. Take the reading of the daily consumption of the boilers
(electricity and fuel) and register it.
12. Take daily reading of high and low steam production register it.
13. Coordinate lock-out tag-outs, work permits and Confined space entry permits.
14. Prepare and review work permit requests for corrective maintenance. Write a short description of 2-4 main responsibilities using the verb forms, for example, lead, train employees/teams/departments, manage processes/activities/operations, acquire, assist, verify, coordinate, inform, instruct, maintain, develop, prepare, promote, produce, provide, inform, serve, supervise, train, participate, support, etc.

15. Responsible for creating conditions for boiler startup. 
16. Selection of the appropriate recipe for boiler combustion according to the type of fuel (applies only to biomass boiler). 
17. Responsible for providing preventive maintenance to boilers. (visual inspections, checking values and levels, cleaning of boilers and ducts, supervision of fuel discharge, etc...) 
18. Repair mechanical and hydraulic breakdowns. 
19. Monitor feedwater quality, condensate and steam.
 20. Monitor the entry of fuel into the boilers.
 21. Supervise the boiler feeding personnel (applies to biomass boiler). 
22. Maintain boilers in a clean and safe condition at all times. 
23. Periodically clean the hatches (applies to biomass boilers) 
24. Do daily cleaning of the nozzles or nozzles of the HFO boilers. 
25. Provide the relief operator with the complete handover of the shift, bringing to his attention any operational disturbances, malfunctions or abnormalities.
 26. Report any change in the operation to the control operator, so that he or she can report it to his superior and the client.
