The overarching responsibility of Forestry Specialists lies in the processing of our forestry data. This includes app onboardings of new customers as well as forest inventory analysis and management plan suggestions. Forestry Specialists support the GIS-Specialists with technical know-how in forestry and they ensure the highest possible data quality for our customers.

Tasks

  • Assuring customer satisfaction by providing high quality and timely deliveries across all product offerings (Climate Projects, Carbon Feasibility Studies, Forest Inventories, App Onboardings).
  • Evaluating, understanding and processing of external data for high quality forest analyses using internally developed tools and methods.
  • Presenting forest inventory analysis results to customers and helping customers to develop conventional as well as Climate Project determined forest management plans.
  • Collaborating closely with Forestry and GIS Specialists as well as Forestry Partner Management and the Tooling Development Team.
  • Defining and continuously optimizing operations processes with a special focus on forestry knowledge based topics.

Requirements

  • Studies in forestry engineering / management, preferably with practical experiences in Forestry Sciences.
  • Technical expertise in the field of forestry, with a focus on forest management & strategic forest management planning (possibly forest economics).
  • Analytical skills with affinity for data.
  • Strong communication skills, German & English for domestic & international customer appointments.
  • Ideally prior knowledge in German forest inventory methods and procedures.
