Contractor Onboarding Specialist

Budderfly, Inc. (Budderfly - www.budderfly.com) is seeking a motivated individual to fill the role of Contractor Onboarding Advocate. In this position, the successful candidate will be responsible for managing our referred contractor pipeline and assisting in the training and onboarding of approved contractors.

The Contractor Onboarding Specialist role will focus on onboarding and training both customer-referred and nationally recognized contractors, actively growing our network of approved contractors while improving our customer satisfaction and time-to-install metrics. 

Responsibilities:

  • Onboarding Process Management: Oversee and optimize the onboarding process for referred contractors, ensuring a smooth transition from recruitment to active work.
  • Pricing and Contract Negotiation: Support Contactor Onboarding Manager in negotiation regarding pricing aligninment and contractual terms.
  • Training and Orientation: Support Contractor Training Manager in providing initial training and orientation for new East Coast-based contractors, including company policies, procedures, and any specific tools or systems they will use.
  • Communication and Coordination: Act as the primary point of contact for referred contractors, addressing any questions or concerns and facilitating communication between them and relevant departments.
  • System Integration: Assist contractors in setting up and accessing necessary systems, platforms, and tools required for their roles.
  • Feedback Collection: Gather and analyze feedback from new contractors regarding the onboarding and training process and identify areas for improvement.
  • Reporting: Prepare and present reports on onboarding metrics, including completion rates, training effectiveness, and contractor satisfaction.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify and implement best practices and process improvements for contractor onboarding to enhance efficiency and contractor experience.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in relevant field required.
  • 2+ years of experience in an onboarding, business development or other pipeline-management role preferred.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, ability to effectively interact with contractors, team members, and other stakeholders.
  • Ability to manage multiple onboarding processes simultaneously, with strong attention to detail and organizational abilities.
  • Self-starter with ownership mentality and comfort operating in a high-growth environment. Desire to establish a climate-centric career.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and related program software (including, but not limited to Teams, Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook).
  • Exposure to contract and/or pricing negotiation preferred.

Compensation: $63,000 to $70,000.00, based on factors including level of experience, skillset, qualifications, and location.

Job Location: Shelton, CT: Hybrid work schedule.
