Lead Engineer - Design

Responsibilities / Tasks

• Handle the projects from various discipline like dairy, food, beverages individually.
• Design plant layout, equipment layout and pipe routing.
• Design of various types of Process skids & valve manifolds.
• Prepare BOQ's for Pipe & Pipe Fittings, Pipe support structures and insulations.
• Support sales team for pre-order activities like conceptual equipment layout, Plant engineering related MTO's.
• Man-Hours estimation for Plant engineering activities.
• Review and coordinates with third party vendors as when require.
• Customize project specific Plant-3D spec and catalogues.
• Create, maintain, and build relationship with internal stakeholder.
• Planning & distribution of work in team. Resolve & troubleshoot day to day activities.
• Ensure, your team secure quality of work & deadline.
• Ability to handle all projects in LPT India for plant design related activities.
• Day to day improvement of work processes and collaboration with the major customer within the assigned area of clients.

Your Profile / Qualifications

• University degree in Mechanical Engineering or Equivalent
• 8 -12 years relevant experiences in design of Plant/Pr Engineering
• Minimum 3-5 years with GEA (Optional)
• Proven leadership skills to run & build a team
• Experience and knowledge of various CAD tools like Autodesk Plant-3D, Inventor AutoCAD mechanical and Navisworks.
• Experiences of managing team supporting regional and global stakeholders.
• Communication skills and ability to convince employees to change behavior without being line manager
• Explains and demonstrates concepts and advanced technologies in an understandable way.
• Conceptual skills to support development of standards, processes, tools that fulfil the needs of our stakeholder
• Ability to drive efficiency increase through improved processes
• Professional knowledge & experience of various international standards.
• Professional knowledge & experience of P&ID design guidelines, Process lines & Reference Designation System.
