Job Overview: We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Plant Operator to join our team at the Deep Sky DAC plant in Innisfail. As a Plant Operator, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of the plant, ensuring all processes run smoothly. You will monitor and maintain equipment, troubleshoot issues, and contribute to the overall success of our operations.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate, monitor, and control plant equipment and processes according to standard operating procedures.
  • Perform routine inspections, maintenance, and troubleshooting of mechanical and electrical equipment.
  • Monitor plant performance and take corrective actions to maintain optimal conditions.
  • Record operational data and maintain accurate logs of equipment performance and process adjustments.
  • Respond to alarms, investigate abnormal conditions, and implement corrective actions promptly.
  • Assist with the start-up, shut-down, and routine operation of the plant, ensuring safety and environmental compliance.
  • Collaborate with the maintenance team for equipment repairs and preventive maintenance activities.
  • Participate in safety meetings, training, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Adhere to all health, safety, and environmental regulations and protocols.
  • Provide input on operational improvements and contribute to process optimization.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical diploma or training in a related field is preferred.
  • Experience in plant operations, industrial maintenance, or a similar role.
  • Familiarity with mechanical and electrical systems, including pumps, compressors, and control systems.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve operational issues.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
  • Willingness to work shift schedules, including nights, weekends, and holidays, as required.
