Join the Propellers Team based in Bristol as a Advanced/ Senior Impact (Birdstrike) Engineer to help us achieve our mission of pioneering electric aviationWhat success will look like for you, as a Advanced/ Senior Impact (Birdstrike) Engineer?

As an Advanced/ Senior Impact (Birdstrike) Engineer you will be the lead for Impact design features and subsequent analysis for Verticals cutting edge propeller systems. The certified propellers, currently in concept phase, for our VX-4 are our 3rd Generation. You will be a key part of our exceptional team at the genesis of a new product.  This will be a unique and hands-on role where you will have the opportunity to conduct design work pioneering British Aerospace Engineering. With a deep understanding of the requirements for certification standard propellers and airframe components, you will define impact modelling standards and approaches based on aerospace industry best practices and contribute to the systems engineering activity.

What we would like you to bring.

We want you to be successful in your role. In order to achieve this, you will need to have proven experience in impact modelling & analysis and certification of composite aerospace structures against impact requirements, including composite laminate structures and sandwich panels. Additionally, you will need excellent skills/knowledge of Hyperworks and non-linear modelling using tools such as Radioss, Abaqus, or LS-Dyna is essential. We are looking for someone who is self-sufficient in all aspects of impact modelling and capable of working independently without the need for an extensive support network.
