We are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Temporary Bookkeeper to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting and be skilled in creating accurate journal entries from bank statements, invoices, and intercompany transactions. This role is essential for maintaining our financial records and ensuring the accuracy of our financial transactions during a busy period. We require someone to work 15-20 hours per week, on-site at our office, specifically on Tuesdays and Thursdays for three or more months. We are looking to fill this role immediately.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Review and reconcile bank statements and invoices.
  • Create and post journal entries to the general ledger.
  • Run quarter-end and year-end closing processes.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards.
  • Provide support for audits and financial reporting.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a bookkeeper or in a similar role.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
  • Proficiency in accounting software, specifically QuickBooks.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
  • Good communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Experience with financial reporting and analysis.
