Role Overview:

As the Construction Manager, you will be responsible for the profitable execution of our EV Fast Charging Site Implementation projects under your management including safe, on-time, on budget completion, adherence to corporate and contract compliance, quality control and customer satisfaction. As part of a multi-disciplined firm, you will be coordinating with internal and external SMEs and vendors including Electrical and Site/Civil Engineers, Architects, General/Electrical Contractor firms and local AHJ permitting officials.


Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the successful completion of all EV Fast Charging sites moving from the design and permitting phases of Site Implementation into construction up to and concluding with site activation and handoff to Operations.
  • Support the development of documentation and processes to formalize best practices within Electric Era’s Site Implementation organization.
  • Provide estimating support to the Business Development organization for early-stage projects prior to customer contracting.
  • Develop and review all construction contracts. Oversee the contract change process.
  • Take responsibility for project construction from the appropriate design milestone and permit issuance all the way through to site activation and substantial completion.
  • Work in parallel with the Design and Utility Coordination Lead(s) as project designs are created to conduct competitive bid events with a portfolio of vetted external construction contractors.
  • Review the schedule and weekly narrative to ensure the project is tracking for on-time completion.
  • Visit each project site on a scheduled and regular basis to remain updated on construction activities. 
  • Responsible for the successful delivery of the projects under your control, the development of your personnel, safety, and quality.
  • Ensure customer satisfaction. This will be reviewed based on repeat business and client references.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in construction-related field, or equivalent combination of technical training and/or related experience.
  • 10+ years of experience as a construction manager, preferably with distributed energy projects (Battery, Generator, Solar, EV Charging, etc.)
  • Previous EPC experience is preferable.
  • Experience with MS Office, MS Project preferred.


Team:

You will work with a team of Engineers, Project Managers and other construction professionals and report to the VP, Site Implementation and Operations.


Work Location:

This is an on-site role located at our Seattle, WA headquarters, with 20-30% travel required. 



Salary

$140,000 - $160,000 per year
