About the Role: Burn is looking for a Production and Maintenance Manager who will be responsible for directing and coordinating activities leading to the quality production of company products in line with customer expectations and schedules with a focus on safety to optimize processes and the costs of the production and maintenance departments.
Duties and responsibilities:
Overall responsibility for the Maintenance and Production Departments
Oversee production scheduling, safety, training, and production documentation
Oversee preventative maintenance program of production lines, equipment, and utilities
Oversee root cause analysis system for Breakdowns including hands-on repairs and fixes and prevention of the issue in the future.
Implement new equipment and processes. Work with the Engineering, Production, and Quality teams to qualify new processes and equipment.
Prepare leasehold improvements, equipment, people, etc. for new product launches.
Responsible for process improvement and continuous improvement.
Team management.
Take a leadership role with the on-the-floor teams when major changes come in the factory, such as big changes in volumes, compensation, team, etc.
Managing change and growth.
Responsible for factory expansion and improvement projects, such as building new offices. Maintain relationships with contractors (electrical, plumbing, civil, ventilation and fabrication).
Risk identification and planning for reducing factory capacity, safety and maintenance risk.
Maintain a clean, safe and orderly working environment.
Leadership and Overall responsibility for factory health.
Implement and manage ERP system from the production and maintenance perspectives
Implementation of strategic systems, such as TPM, lean, etc.
Skills and Experience:
Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical/ Industrial Engineering.
8 - 10 experience working in a manufacturing set-up with a proven record of managing a sizeable production team & engineering projects with at least 5 years of those in sheet metal factories and or manual product assembly lines.
Deep knowledge of production management & experience with reporting on key production metrics.
Capable of reading and interpreting maintenance manuals, engineering drawings and have a good understanding of tolerances and allowances.
Demonstrated leadership ability to influence change.
Good understanding of quality standards and health and safety regulations,
Strong decision-making skills and a results-driven approach.
Demonstrated ability to analyse failures and implement effective corrective solutions.
Conversant with CAD software, e.g., SolidWorks and Auto CAD.
Strong analytical skills
Strong MS Excel, Word and PowerPoint skills
Ability to communicate in English – both written and oral.
