The Role We provide sustainable transport options to various cities nationwide through the provision of bike, e-bike and e-scooter schemes. We are looking for a talented Risk and Engagement Coordinator to join our Operations Department. The role consist of:


  • Risk Management and Safety – Reporting, escalation, and mitigation, particularly in the context of shared mobility schemes. To produce comprehensive risk assessments, and develop analytical frameworks for identifying risk patterns. To work with our development team to build new tools to reduce fraud and vandalism/loss
  • Operations Management – Implementing operational strategies with city leads, improving key performance indicators, and helping to manage fleet performance
  • Analysis and Reporting – Producing key stakeholder reports monthly, and working with our Data Analytics team to understand trends and quantify risks
  • Stakeholder Management - Being a point of contact for local authority partners, and local emergency services


The role will be primarily based in our Manchester office or London HQ, with flexibility to work from home when appropriate. You will be expected to visit other Beryl schemes as part of your role, and all travel to these will be reimbursed.

Responsibilities Supporting the wider Operations team with the following responsibilities:

  • Report cases of missing or vandalised vehicles to local authorities and assist with coordinating recoveries
  • Respond and liaise with police enquiries on behalf of Beryl.
  • Compile and record data to support our Operations team (working with our data team)
  • Help to liaise with a network of stakeholders through research and local outreach
  • Contribute to monthly scheme reports
  • Work closely with our centralised Beryl Control Room by handling incoming reports from the public
  • Support the Marketing Communications and Ops teams with any outward risk related correspondence via social media and internal comms
  • General ad hoc administrative duties

Experience & skills While the ideal candidate should fulfil most of the list below, we know that ideal candidates rarely exist, so we will consider all applications from people keen on learning to fill in any gaps.

  • Previous experience in risk management, operations support, customer support or community outreach is highly desirable
  • Familiarity with sustainable transport or micromobility sectors is advantageous
  • Good data analysis skills, including the ability to compile, interpret, and present data clearly (training to be provided)
  • Proficient in using data reporting and presentation software (e.g., Excel, Powerpoint)
  • Ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams and external stakeholders.
  • Customer service-oriented with the ability to respond effectively to public inquiries.
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills.
  • Proactive, adaptable, and able to work independently when needed.
  • Flexible approach to working, including regular travel to other Beryl locations.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritise work efficiently.
