Summary
 
The Safety Analyst will play a critical role in supporting UES safety objectives by utilizing data to identify trends, improve safety practices, and ensure compliance with safety regulations. This role involves gathering, analyzing, and reporting data related to workplace incidents, safety audits, and risk assessments to help shape decision-making and safety strategies within the organization. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data analysis and a passion for fostering a safety-first culture.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Gather and compile safety data from various sources (incident reports, inspections, audits, etc.).
  • Analyze large datasets to identify trends, risks, and potential hazards within the organization.
  • Collaborate with safety teams to interpret data and develop actionable insights.
  • Prepare and present detailed reports on safety performance metrics, trends, and KPIs for senior management and project teams.
  • Develop dashboards and visual tools to track safety performance across projects and departments.
  • Provide regular updates on safety trends, compliance rates, and high-risk areas.
  • Work closely with safety managers and field teams to develop and implement data-driven safety strategies.
  • Assist in the evaluation of safety procedures and recommend improvements based on data findings.
  • Monitor and report on the effectiveness of safety training programs and compliance efforts.
  • Ensure that safety data and reporting align with OSHA, local, state, and federal safety regulations.
  • Support compliance audits and contribute to the development of corrective action plans.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and recommend tools or methods to enhance data collection and analysis.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and new technologies in safety data analytics.

Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in safety management, Data Analytics, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
  • 1 to 2 years of experience in safety analysis.
  • Proven experience in data mining, reporting, and analysis.
  • Proficient in data analysis tools such as Excel, Power BI, Tableau, or similar platforms.
  • Understanding of safety regulations, including OSHA standards.
  • Ability to interpret complex data and provide clear, actionable recommendations.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to present data findings to diverse
