About the Job 

As the Program Management Lead at Peak Energy, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and executing our strategic initiatives. Reporting directly to the Chief of Staff, you will be responsible for building and leading the company-wide program management function. Your efforts will ensure cross-functional alignment, timely delivery of projects, and the successful advancement of our Sodium-Ion battery systems. This position offers a unique opportunity to make a significant impact on the future of renewable energy storage and grid resilience. 

Key Responsibilities 

  • Develop and Implement Program Management Structure 
    • Build a comprehensive company-wide program management framework. 
    • Own and maintain the integrated company schedule, ensuring all timelines are up-to-date. 
  • Ensure Cross-Functional Alignment 
    • Coordinate with various departments to align on critical schedule items and overall project timelines. 
    • Identify and resolve schedule misalignments, changes, and challenges proactively. 
  • Collaborate with and lead Project Managers in different organizations 
    • Work closely with technical project managers across the company to ensure the successful delivery of objectives. 
    • Establish and lead a cross-organizational Project Management forum to promote best practices and knowledge sharing. 
  • Lead Company-wide Goal and Objective Setting 
    • Oversee the yearly and quarterly goal-setting processes across the company. 
    • Ensure alignment of departmental goals with the overall strategic plan. 
  • Communicate with Leadership 
    • Provide regular updates to senior leadership on program status, risks, and opportunities. 
    • Foster a culture of excellence, continuous improvement, and accountability within the program management teams. 

 

Minimum Qualifications 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field; an advanced degree is a plus. 
  • Experience 
  • 5+ years of experience in program management or technical project management. 
  • Experience in manufacturing, hardware/product development, batteries, or a related industry is highly preferred. 
  • Background in strategy or management consulting is a plus. 
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently and make informed decisions. 
  • Strong understanding of complex organizational relationships. 
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. 
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail and accuracy. 
  • Demonstrated ability to learn quickly and develop a deep technical understanding of a broad range of topics.
