As the Accounts Payable Specialist, you will be responsible for processing invoices in QuickBooks, generating weekly Aging reports, setting up invoices in Melio, matching invoices to bills, monitoring AP email inquiries, and assisting with various accounting projects. This role requires attention to detail, efficient cash flow management, and ensuring compliance with financial policies while maintaining smooth communication and supporting process improvement initiatives.

This is a hybrid work, part-time position (20 hours/week)

This role will pay $25-$28.75 per hour

Responsibilities: 

  • Accurately process invoices in our accounting system (QuickBooks) to ensure timely payment.
  • Generate weekly Aging reports and send them for approval to maintain efficient cash flow management.
  • Set up invoices in Melio for approval, ensuring all necessary documentation is attached.
  • Match payments to bills in QuickBooks Online to ensure accuracy and compliance with financial policies.
  • Monitor and respond to inquiries in the Accounts Payable (AP) email to facilitate smooth communication.
  • Ad Hoc Projects  - Assist with various accounting projects and process improvement initiatives as needed.
  • Assistance with Docusign's / Executing NDA's

Desired Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (or currently pursuing).
  • Familiarity with QuickBooks and Melio is a plus.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word).
