What we’re looking for:
Nexamp is hiring a Senior Business Analyst for our Grid Integration team. In this role, you will play a critical role in analyzing, designing, and improving business processes and systems. This position requires working closely with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, identify opportunities for improvement, and implement solutions that enhance business operations. You will report to the Manager, Grid Integration Portfolio & Data Analytics, and will be hybrid out of our Boston office.
What you’ll do:
- Data Analysis: Conduct data analysis to provide insights that inform business decisions. Develop reports and dashboards to track key performance indicators (KPIs) and measure the success of initiatives.
- Data Visualization: Manipulate, analyze, and visualize data to provide actionable insights for senior management. Support final decision making by presenting clear and compelling data-driven recommendations.
- Business Requirements Gathering: Work with stakeholders to gather and document business requirements, ensuring that they are comprehensive, clear, and aligned with business objectives.
- Process Analysis and Improvement: Analyze existing business processes to identify inefficiencies and areas for improvement. Propose and implement solutions to optimize workflows and drive operational excellence.
- Project Support: Support project teams by providing business analysis expertise throughout the project lifecycle, from initiation to implementation. Assist in developing project plans, timelines, and deliverables.
- Documentation: Create and maintain detailed documentation of business requirements, process flows, and system specifications. Ensure that all documentation is up to date and accessible to relevant stakeholders.
- Stakeholder Communication: Serve as a liaison between business units, IT, and other departments to ensure effective communication and collaboration. Facilitate meetings and workshops to gather input and share progress.
- Change Management: Assist in managing the transition to new processes or systems by providing training and support to end-users. Help to drive user adoption and ensure a smooth implementation.
- Continuous Improvement: Stay informed about industry trends and best practices in business analysis. Identify opportunities to enhance tools, techniques, and methodologies within the organization.
What you’ll bring:
- A minimum of 2-4 years of experience in business analysis. Experience in renewables or utility is preferred.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
- Proficiency in business analysis tools (e.g., JIRA, Confluence, Microsoft Visio) and data analysis software (e.g., SQL, Excel, Power BI)
- Proven ability to document and analyze business processes and systems.
- Experience with project management practices (e.g., Agile, Waterfall) preferred.

- Demonstrated experience in effectively communicating information, ideas, and perspectives with people inside and beyond your organization.
- Experience in showcasing initiative to make improvements to current work, processes, products, and services across the organization. We value accountability and an ownership mentality.

- Expertise in building strong internal and external relationships with customers and stakeholders, instilling trust and loyalty across the industry.
