Your mission
100 years after the invention of industrial, heterogeneous methanol catalysis, we fundamentally revolutionize this technology.

Our disruptive process is based on homogeneous catalysis, which enables us to fundamentally rethink methanol production in a green way.

To this end, we are running our first pilot in one of the largest German chemical parks to demonstrate our technology based on syngas and we are now heading to build our first-of-a-kind industrial Demonstration Plant.

We are looking for you to drive this milestone forward and take the first step towards industrial production of green Methanol!

Your tasks:

  • You will be responsible for challenging the process development for a mid-size industrial chemical plant.
  • You will drive further process improvement of the future plant design by working with ainhouse team developing technical solutions as well as with an external engineering companyensuring and validating their technical implementations and proposals.
  • You will have the opportunity to add operational adjustment and modification to the plant design based on your experience.
  • Nice to have: you will do process simulation aiming to design the main reactor, elaborating the results and coordinating next steps with the project management.
Your profile
  • You have successfully completed your studies in the field of chemical engineering or similar.
  • You have at least 5 years of experience in a company process department, designing chemical plants
  • You have experience with plant operationsafety and environmental considerations
  • You were the daily-decision-maker on process development for an industrial chemical plant design; strong plus iexperienced in either Methanol or homogenous catalysis reaction plants.
  • You have experience with process simulations softwaree.g. with Aspen.
  • You know how to draw and improve PFD, P&ID, data sheets and the main engineering lists.
  • Nice to have: you have experience in gas purification units and/or in heat integration projects.
  • You are fluent in English; German language is a strong nice to have.
Why us?

You will work with a high degree of freedom in a team of excellent colleagues on cutting-edge climate technology and have the necessary financial resources to push things forward.

As a startup in Berlin, we offer a dynamic and non-bureaucratic environment, attractive salary and stock option package, as well as the opportunity to work on solving the No. 1 global challenge, climate change.
