Position Summary: 
 
EVgo Strategy and Analytics team seeks a Senior Analyst, Full Stack Data Scientist to support our future charger build-out as part of the Network Planning and Underwriting team. The team is focused on scaling for an exponential growth of our network footprint, along with other cross-functional projects. The position will have the opportunity to build and maintain data models that feed algorithms to choose site locations and predict geographic and site design influence on usage demand and financial outcomes. The focus will be working with a python / Django / JavaScript based web-based architecture to provide model transparency, flexibility, and ability to analyze results and adjustment to a rapidly changing market. 
 
We are seeking a skilled Senior Analyst, Full Stack Data Scientist, to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will leverage your expertise in data analysis, web development, and data visualization to drive insights and create impactful web applications. You will work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and deploy data-driven solutions that enhance user experience and inform business decisions. 
 
Responsibilities: 
  • Data Collection & Analysis: 
  • Gather and preprocess data from various sources, ensuring data quality and integrity. 
  • Conduct exploratory data analysis (EDA) to uncover trends and patterns. 
  • Web Development: 
  • Design and develop user-friendly web applications using front-end technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) and frameworks (React, Angular, etc.). 
  • Build and maintain back-end services and APIs using languages such as Python and Django 
  • Machine Learning & Modeling: 
  • Develop and implement machine learning models for predictive analytics. 
  • Evaluate model performance and iterate to improve accuracy and reliability. 
  • Data Visualization: 
  • Create interactive visualizations and dashboards to communicate insights effectively using tools like Tableau, Power BI, or D3.js. 
  • Present findings and recommendations to stakeholders in a clear and compelling manner. 
  • Collaboration & Communication: 
  • Work closely with data engineers, product managers, and designers to align project goals and requirements. 
  • Provide data-driven insights to support strategic decision-making across the organization. 
  • Continuous Learning: 
  • Stay up to date with the latest trends in data science, web development, and user experience design. 
  • Participate in team meetings, workshops, and training sessions to enhance skills and knowledge.  
Required Skills/Experience:  
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, or a related field.
  • 3-5 years experience either professionally or for advanced study
  • Experience in front-end frameworks (e.g., React, Angular) and back-end technologies (e.g., Flask, Django).
  • Proven experience in data analysis, machine learning, and web development.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R, or JavaScript.
  • Familiarity with databases (SQL) and data management practices, Snowflake preferred.
  • Strong critical thinking skills and a passion for turning data into actionable insights.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a collaborative environment.
  • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) for deploying data applications.
  • Knowledge of user experience (UX) principles and design thinking.
  • Experience with data visualization tools and libraries (e.g., Tableau).
For job positions in CA, CO, and NYC, the estimated salary range for a new hire in this position is $125,000 USD to $135,000 USD. Actual salary may vary depending on job-related factors, including knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition to a competitive base salary, we offer discretionary target cash bonuses, restricted stock units (subject to Board Approval), and a comprehensive benefits package including health, life, and disability insurance, unbounded paid time off including parental leave, and a 401(k).
