Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Product Designer to join our Product team in a part-time role. As a Product Designer, you will play a key part in shaping the user experience and interface design. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate user needs and business requirements into intuitive design solutions.

Responsibilities:

  • Translate user insights and business requirements into conceptual designs and user flows.

  • Create wireframes, prototypes, and interactive mockups to visualize design ideas and validate concepts.

  • Design intuitive and visually appealing user interfaces.

  • System thinker who partners with design, product management, and engineering to generate ideas and turn them into a flawless product experience.

  • Defining and strategizing ways on making storytelling and demoing process better: from creation and optimization of templates, optimization of Figma libraries, utilization of tools to deliver richer narratives.

  • Leveraging GlacierGrid’s Figma design library and creating new interfaces that don’t necessarily yet exist within our current design system.

Requirements:

  • 4+ years of professional design experience with an existing portfolio of at least 6 major projects.

  • Advanced proficiency with design tools, such as Figma, Sketch, Illustrator, InVision, Adobe Photoshop, and/or Adobe XD, etc.

  • Advanced English level: strong verbal and written communication skills.

  • Working proficiency with HTML/CSS, JavaScript, Bootstrap, CSS grids, WordPress, and Hubspot; expertise in using HTML to template communications and newsletters preferred

  • Practiced at approaching complex problems with a data-driven, smart design approach

  • Practiced at applying user-centric approach, demonstrating with a passion for user-experience, effectively evaluating and elevating user voice within internal decision-making processes

  • Prior experience working within an early-stage technology company environment, preferably within the Enterprise SaaS and/or IoT Hardware space 

  • Extensive experience in interaction design with ability to define how an experience should behave based on understanding people's needs, plus consideration of how this innovation will scale. Use appropriate prototyping tools to demonstrate how a particular flow or interaction will work
