An exciting opportunity has arisen for a talented Team Leader to join us in Brighton. You will be responsible for helping to shape, grow and manage a team of Smart Tech Specialists as well as overseeing the day-to-day Capacity & Scheduling function. Your team will be responsible for managing the schedules of hundreds of field engineers installing Low Carbon Technologies, nationally.



What you'll do

  • Lead a team of Smart Tech Specialists, who work alongside a large team of sales experts, field engineers, and surveyors.
  • Demonstrate exceptional leadership in the day to day running of the Capacity & Scheduling function, delivering exceptional customer service during the journey towards sale, installation and beyond.
  • Support effective relationship building across key stakeholders from our surveying teams, to installers and other office-based teams.
  • Look for opportunities to continually improve performance
  • Create effective reporting, analyse and act to drive improvement
  • Be an advocate for your team whilst creating an elite performance culture to delivers success
  • Support growth through impactful coaching and development
  • You will develop a deep understanding of Octopus culture and customer experience; setting the tone for your team

What you'll need

  • Experience in management and leadership, ideally within a capacity management, planning/dispatch/scheduling operation.
  • To be a team player and relationship builder. The ability to build great working relationships with people across cultures and perspectives
  • To be able to effectively lead and inspire a team - this is key
  • To be agile. You are positive and proactive, and energised by working in a fast-paced environment characterised by constant change
  • A high level of adaptability and agility to manage multiple projects at one time and lead a team who’s responsibilities will vary (we are growing quickly!)
  • You will be able to think creatively and logically to react to changes in strategy
  • To be someone who establishes and works with a network quickly to deliver promptly, with a focus on quality and delivery
  • You will be analytical, seeking out data and using this to inform your decisions
  • Energy/LCT industry experience is desirable but by no means essential! You’ll quickly pick up what you need to know

  • Working days: Mon-Fri (with optional weekend overtime)
  • This is a flexible role with scope to support across all our low carbon tech offerings in the future. We want people who are just as crazy about sustainable technology as we are so you might be team heat pumps today, solar tomorrow - the sky (literally) is the limit! You’ll take on a variety of tasks that will likely evolve over time, to keep things interesting! Currently, shifts range from 8am-8pm Mon-Fri but this may be subject to change in the future.
