Position Description
We are looking for a talented and detail-oriented Multimedia Storyteller and Video Editor to join our dynamic Marketing team. In this role, you will be responsible for editing and assembling raw footage into a polished, high-quality final product for a variety of video projects, including corporate videos, trade shows, thought leadership presentations, social media content, internal training and more. You will work closely with our marketing and creative team, ensuring that the final output aligns with the project's vision and meets FlexGen’s storytelling vision and production standards.
Major Job Responsibilities:
- Edit and assemble raw interview, presentation, and b roll footage into compelling and narrative-driven video content for a variety of platforms (e.g., social media, websites, presentations, trainings etc.).
- Collaborate with managers and other team members to understand and document project objectives and creative direction.
- Collect insights from the marketing team and subject matter experts to layout narrative, messages and visuals in a storyboard before beginning editing process.
- Gather copyright free stock imagery, b roll, music and other multimedia elements to accompany owned assets.
- Apply color correction, sound design, motion and still graphics, and other visual effects to enhance video value and quality.
- Manage video assets, organize footage, and ensure files are properly archived for easy retrieval.
- Edit sound from video and audio recordings to be clear and fit for purpose.
- Stay up to date with industry trends and new post-production techniques to continuously improve workflows and output.
- Ensure all videos are delivered on time and meet the quality standards required by clients or stakeholders.
- Handle multiple projects simultaneously while adhering to deadlines.
- Troubleshoot and resolve any post-production technical issues that arise.
- Occasionally travel to project sites or customer locations to collect video footage.
Position Requirements:
- Proven experience as a post-production editor and designer, with a strong portfolio showcasing your work.
- Proficiency in video editing software, such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve, and other industry-standard tools.
- Strong understanding of post-production processes including color grading, sound editing, motion graphics, and visual effects.
- Experience with motion graphics and animation (using After Effects or similar tools) is a plus.
- Familiarity with camera equipment and the ability to manage footage throughout the production process.
- Creative vision with a keen eye for storytelling, detail and composition.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment, as well as independently with minimal supervision.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects with tight deadlines.
- Excellent communication skills to understand project needs and give/receive feedback effectively.
- Knowledge of SharePoint, Dropbox, WeTransfer, file management systems and workflows for large video production projects.
- A degree or relevant experience in film production, videography, graphic design or a related field is preferred.
- Experience with 3D animation and advanced visual effects.
- Familiarity with sound design and audio post-production techniques.
- Knowledge of social media content requirements and video formats for different platforms (YouTube, Instagram, Facebook, etc.).
- Experience with cloud-based collaboration tools for remote video editing and project management.
