Granular Energy

Mission & Vision

Granular is a fast-growing climate tech startup paving the way towards a carbon-free grid.

We provide a SaaS portfolio management platform to electricity companies and suppliers. The platform helps solve the complex issue of hourly matching between clean energy generation and consumption, at scale. You can find out more about the 24/7 energy space in this article.

Initially founded in 2021, our team is now approaching 30 people. We have clients in the US, Europe, and Asia, but our team is primarily located in western Europe. Following an oversubscribed funding round in 2023, we have plenty of runway.

This is your opportunity to work on a product that’s creating a pathway to a fully clean energy grid. Your efforts will have a direct and sizeable contribution on the climate crisis!

Remote-first

Granular Energy is a remote-first organisation and this role is almost 100% remote in the US, with 3-4 times per year travelling to Europe to join our team offsites.

What’s the mission of this role?

Together with our Business development director for the US region, you will be in charge of supporting the Sales process with demos, workshops, data work, as well as serving our growing client base on a continuous basis (delivery and customer support / success). This is a new role!

This role is extremely transverse and requires great business acumen, combined with domain expertise, and technical skills (data modelling, data-related work, simple use of python scripts, to solve customer specific problems).

Who is the TS team:

  1. Sales and customer success in our company are fairly technical and therefore they require more “technical” support and advisory, involving data exploration and manipulation, as well of implementation of mathematical models

  2. The TS team is also building adhoc tools to supplement the platform features in their current states

  3. Lastly, the TS team should help in the pre/post-onboarding phases with our clients, analysing and exploring their own systems, and supporting in specification of data interfaces and transformation needs.

This is a fantastic opportunity to make an impact in an entrepreneurial setup, being at the forefront of energy sector changes in the US and internationally. There will be many options for growth as our business scales.

Note: In other companies, this role could be called a Technical advisor, Sales engineer, Technical solutions engineer.
