About the Role:

We’re looking for a star collaborator to deliver high-impact project, operations and analytics support for Altruistiq’s enterprise customers, giving them the embedded expertise to maximise the power of the Altruistiq platform and achieve their sustainability objectives.

As a Sustainability Operations Analyst you will own the delivery of tailored environmental footprinting and analytics objectives, designed to meet the unique sustainability priorities of the world’s largest companies. As a subject matter, platform and data expert, you will provide hands-on support with in-platform activities and analysis and operate as an extension of businesses’ sustainability teams, empowering decision makers with valuable insights.

In this role, you will:

  • Help Customers Maximise the Power of the AQ Platform: Act as a power user of Altruistiq and perform specialised activities within the platform, including management of data sources, progress tracking, custom dashboard analytics, disclosure and decarbonisation initiatives.
  • Guide Customers as a Trusted Advisor: Build close relationships with customer stakeholders, and act as a partner to help them achieve specific sustainability goals (e.g., getting to their first completed corporate footprint or prioritising impact areas for intervention).
  • Embed Within Customer Teams: For the duration of each project or support period, operate as an integral part of the customer’s team, communicating and aligning with their internal structures and workflows to ensure effective project execution.
  • Find Innovative Data-driven Solutions for Customer Challenges: Advise and support on data quality issues and estimation methods when required. Use first-principles problem solving, market research and cross-functional collaboration to accelerate customers’ strategic aims (e.g. decarbonisation lever identification).
  • Collaborate Cross-Functionally for Maximum Impact: Work closely with Altruistiq’s internal teams—including Customer Success and Product—to share insights and feedback, and continuously build your own understanding, enhancing both the customer experience and Altruistiq’s service offerings.
  • Elevate your knowledge and expertise in environmental impact accounting and data analysis: As part of Altruistiq’s Sustainability function you will collaborate and learn from subject matter experts in various fields, and have a range of opportunities to build your own skillset.

About You:

We envisage the following skills and experiences would serve you well in this role:

Data & Sustainability Expertise

  • Strong quantitative and analytical skills, with familiarity in data management, cleaning, and sustainability reporting practices.
  • Proven ability to draw meaningful insights from complex data sets and provide eloquent, tailored, data-driven recommendations and deliverables (e.g. visuals) that support customer goals.
  • A basic understanding of how to calculate Greenhouse Gas Emissions aligned to the GHG Protocol
  • A passion for sustainability concepts and developments in the sector.

Project Management and Problem-Solving Excellence

  • Inquisitive, structured and rigorous approach to problem solving, including gathering and analysing information, formulating and testing hypotheses, and developing recommendations

Exemplary Stakeholder Management

  • Proven ability to build relationships with customer stakeholders, acting as a trusted advisor and communicating effectively in high-stakes settings.
  • Proven ability to operate independently in customer-facing settings, leading meetings and presenting analyses to various stakeholders
  • Excellent written and verbal English (which is the primary language of communication within Altruistiq).

Entrepreneurial spirit and Adaptability

  • Passion for learning fast and on-the go. Always looking to bring structure and scalability to the often unstructured environment of a fast growing startup.
  • A natural "go getter" with extreme bias to proactivity, keen to identify opportunities and trial solutions to improve processes and efficiency.
  • Adaptable and autonomous, comfortable working independently in a fast-paced environment and adjusting to shifting customer and company needs.
  • Our benefits include:

    • Equity, we believe our team should all have a stake in the company we're building.
    • A supportive culture to help you learn and develop into a better version of yourself, including a learning & development budget and policy.
    • Competitive compensation package.
    • Private health and dental insurance for you and your partner/family.
    • Generous pension contribution.
    • Unlimited holiday policy.
    • Flexible working, remote-first, with allowance to join a shared working space where you live.
    • Health & wellness budget, cycle scheme.
    • Team offsites, and annual events to spend time together as a team.
    • Work in a diverse, feedback-driven organisation, decentralised decision making enabling everyone to weigh in, offering lots of freedom, impact as well as responsibility.

At Altruistiq we believe a diverse team is a better team.
