Position Description


We are seeking a Director of Lifecycle Sales to lead the development and expansion of Lifecycle Solutions for our customers' Battery Energy Management Systems (BESS) across North America. This unique and strategic role combines leadership, flexibility, contract negotiation, and customer-focused solution development.


The ideal candidate will act as an ambassador for FlexGen’s Lifecycle Solutions, demonstrating exceptional creativity, strategic thinking, and commitment to customer success.


Major Job Responsibilities:

  • Develop and lead the lifecycle solutions business for customers' BESS, from proposal to contract execution.
  • Ensure Long-Term Service Agreements are attached to all FlexGen customers, including developers, utilities, and industrial companies.
  • Collaborate with Lifecycle Services, Application Engineering, Legal, and Procurement teams to negotiate the commercial and technical aspects of contracts.
  • Create and deliver customized lifecycle solutions that align with customer requirements and key performance standards.
  • Lead product and proposal presentations, supporting customers with commercial and technical inquiries.
  • Travel to meet with customers for business presentations, negotiations, and relationship building.
  • Represent FlexGen at industry conferences to promote Lifecycle Solutions.
  • Facilitate a comprehensive project handover to Lifecycle Services teams to ensure operational success and customer satisfaction.

Position Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business or Engineering.
  • Minimum of five years of experience creating customized solutions for customers, preferably in the energy storage or related sector.
  • Proven track record of winning multimillion-dollar contracts and a deep understanding of lifecycle solutions in energy storage.
  • Extensive experience with contracts, including legal, commercial, and technical terms and conditions.
  • Exceptional negotiation skills and the ability to effectively communicate with C-level executives.
  • Demonstrated leadership capabilities, including setting objectives and driving team collaboration.
  • Flexibility to travel extensively for customer and business engagements.
  • Significant experience in lifecycle solutions, contract negotiation, and business development in the energy storage industry or a closely related sector
  • Strong analytical thinking and the ability to adapt quickly during negotiations or challenging situations.
  • Experience working with diverse teams and a global customer base.
  • Passion for sustainability and advancing energy solutions.
