Here at Octopus Energy ECO we’re responsible for delivering the government ECO and Great British Insulation Scheme (GBIS) on behalf of Octopus Energy. We are super passionate about helping customers on low income and benefits to improve the insulation in their homes to help reduce bills and carbon emissions 🐙

This role will drive growth while aligning closely with the strategic vision of the Director of Octopus Energy ECO. The ideal candidate will support the Senior Management team in ensuring the seamless execution of all ECO and GBIS strategic initiatives, with a focus on fostering collaboration across the broader ECO team to ensure objectives are met efficiently and effectively.
 
You will oversee heat pumps to insulation, commercial arrangements through to issuing contracts and vetting prospective partners. As the teams and role develops, the Head of Partnerships will be focused on developing all staff to be on the same wavelength of providing Octopus Energy with the best service in the industry. 

You will learn all about low carbon tech and influence future training at our Nottingham Knowledge centre with a real focus on delivering all obligations in line with the needs of the business, with a commercial laser focus on right first time and maximising opportunities that arise. 


What you'll do

  • Support the Senior Management team to deliver and maintain contractual arrangements that develop the Commercial offerings as set out by The Director of Octopus Energy ECO
  • Responsible for quality and accuracy of all contracts, ECO and GBIS agreements and managing the “vetting” of potential partners
  • Work closely with the Partnership team and at times the Operational team to orchestrate the Commercial strategy
  • Partner with your line manager to ensure all Partnership Managers are kept up to date with relevant information as well as providing a swift and accurate service when issuing new agreements
  • Consistently learn and then assist with the implementation of ECO/GBIS strategy with the Head of Department & the Director, ensuring it can be rolled out in line with the needs of Octopus Energy
  • Lead from the front and displaying the true Octopus ethos and passion for green energy
  • Always assist with the orchestration of both new and existing partner needs
  • Learn about new technologies and get awesome training to give you the skills to assist your teams of Insulation Installers from day one
  • Use your knowledge and experience of being organised, innovative and having a thirst for knowledge as well as history of delivering targets and working as part of a Team
  • Plan and communicate with your own peers and Senior Managers
  • Problem solve- nothing is insurmountable - you’ll anticipate problems and find solutions quickly and efficiently

What you'll need

  • A good knowledge of both finance and commercial arrangements - with any experience or grounding in ECO and GBIS would be extremely desirable 
  • Experience in virtual management and accuracy of data as well as punctuality of tasks
  • Be able to guide, coach, support and influence others
  • Strong financial knowledge
  • Ability to work collaboratively with our Partnership Team as well as implement commercial strategies
  • Be able to demonstrate a good knowledge of how to deliver a great service and meet strategic KPI’s
  • A laser customer focus - communication is key
  • A proactive, ‘can do’ attitude - we’ll do everything to make the customer experience perfect
  • A keen eye for detail and problem-solving skills
