Job Description

Responsibilities:
- Independently running and documenting laboratory studies to support R&D projects and department goals
- Support with general manufacturing trials (e.g. including transfer trials)
- Support with validation activities (product, process, software, and test method)
- Prepare samples for new and existing customers in a timely manner to support sales activities and growth opportunities
- Create work instructions and risk assessments for new equipment/ processes
- Maintaining laboratory in good working conditions, advising R&D Manager of stock levels and maintenance needs for the laboratory
- Manage “routine” technical activities including COSHH to identify hazards and assess the risks from substances in the workplace
- Support with the creation of risk assessment documents (per ISO 14971), e.g. dFMEA
Qualifications:
- Degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering or Polymer Science
- Graduate with ideally at least 1 year of industrial experience of technical product development
