About the Position:
Job Title: Senior Accountant
Location: Remote, US

Department: Accounting & Finance
Reporting to: Accounting Manager
Expected Travel: 5% of Expected Travel
Responsibilities:
Detailed analytical reviews on monthly, quarterly, annually variance analysis on financial statement results
Supporting the Accounting mangers in all aspects of the monthly and quarterly financial closing and reporting process including recording, monitoring, and tracking transactions
Completing thorough analytical review for transactional, OpEx and Corporate expenses
Processing and performing monthly review of actual costs incurred to budget
Internal projects cost tracking including for all business segments to ensure costs are properly tracked and tied back to financials
Collaborating with multifunctional teams across the company to capture monthly operational costs and ensuring costs are tracked and properly reported for all business segments
Assisting in performing G/L account reconciliations and ensure resolution of processing issues and accurately reported financial statements
Analyzing financial data by collecting, monitoring and creating financial models for decision support; recommend action
Assisting with annual and quarterly forecasting and budgeting
Supporting and reviewing accounts payable transactions and entries
Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
Educational requirements
Bachelors degree in accounting or related field
Relevant experience
Excellent communication and presentation skills, and comfortable interacting with executive-level management
Great attention to detail
Ability to work as a team as well as individually
Strong organizational skills
3-4 years of accountant or staff accountant experience
Skills and competencies
Strong excel skills
Preferred Qualifications:
CPA / CMS is a plus but not required
Masters in accountancy or related field is a plus but not required
Salary Range:This position is a Level 3 at Origin Materials. The pay range for this position level at Origin Materials is $80,500 - $158,000. This range is not necessarily a guarantee of actual compensation that may be earned nor a promise of any specific pay for any specific employee, which is always dependent on relevant experience, education and other factors.
